JOKO WIDODO
Jokowi was the mayor of Surakarta, Central Java for 2 periods. He become more known after he was able to move Pasar Taman Banjarsari to Pasar Taman Balekambang. He changed figure of traditional market in Indonesia, from dirty to be clean, neat and also become recreation place. Jokowi signed up to the Governor of Jakarta Election in 2012 and wonit. Joko Widodo, or known as Jokowi is the most inspiring figure in Indonesia in 2012- 2013, although there are some pros and cons about his leadership.
Jokowi is a leader who has many controversial policies. One of his controversial policies is "Lelang Jabatan". There's no certain basic law about "Lelang Jabatan" (Auction Job). Amir Hamzah, expert of Politic said that Jokowi negate Undang- Undang no.12 tahun 2011. Pasal 97 UU no.12 tahun 2011 is managing technique of organization. This policy may be void because it has unclear law. A member of Commission C DPRD DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Husein Alaydrus said that "Lelang Jabatan" does not have transparancy. He thought, Why Jokowi should held "Lelang Jabatan" if there's IPDN (school that study knowledge of government). Actually, "Lelang Jabatan" is held to get Lurah and Camat that experts on their own majors, either administration or problem in each region. If citizen are agree and satisfy with Jokowi's policy, government should realize it. "Lelang Jabatan" is a new positive mechanism, because held through democracy and also make civil compete fairly.
The second cotroversial policy by Jokowi is "Plat Ganjil- Genap". There's no certainty about its system. DPRD said that "'Plat Ganjil- Genap' will not effective because less of public transportation". This system is hard to realize, it takes a lot of money. Government will found difficulty, because there are too many vehicles in Jakarta and lack of controller. Polda Metro Jaya and Ministry of Jakarta's transportation said that "Plat Ganjil- Genap" system able to decrease 30 up to 40% traffic jams in Jakarta. If "Plat Ganjil- Genap" system can realize, it can reduce fuel consumption, improve passenger of public transportation and also increase the speed of vehicle.
The last controversial policy by Jokowi is wearing "Betawi's traditional clothes" as uniform. Women organization, PKK RT. 08 RW. 05 Mampang Prapatan, Jakarta Selatan argue that Jokowi's policy is not effective as a way to show characteristic of Betawi, because Betawi has 3 kinds of saddariah (clothes for men) and they are afraid if traditional clothes may use in wrong way by employee as a fashion style and they will not focus on their job. By wearing Betawi's traditional clothes, employee can promote Betawi's culture indirectly and show the culture of Betawi. Beside that, Betawi's traditional clothes is cheap and everybody already had it. So, governor shouldn't add new uniform in calculation of APBD.
